WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM AND WHY?

My favorite college football team, even though it’s not my alma mater, has to be Stanford. We have had a number of Stanford athletes work as interns at Chegg over the years. Not only are they amazing athletes, but they are also amazing students. Each made a lasting and valuable impression on our company. Additionally, former Stanford football stars such as Andrew Luck, Zach Ertz, and Coby Fleener have come on as investors in Chegg. Other Stanford student-athletes have participated in campaigns such as Chegg Celebrity Tutors because they have a passion for education and support our mission. It’s hard not to cheer on talented, incredible people who have taken an interest in improving the lives of other students.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY FROM FOLLOWING YOUR TEAM?

One of my all-time favorite memories was Stanford’s 56-48 triple overtime victory at USC in 2011. Watching the sheer joy and celebration from Andrew Luck and Sam Schwartzstein as they ran off the field was an incredible moment. These guys are not only two of my favorite players, but also two of my favorite people. So it was incredibly exciting to watch their celebration of the team’s success and also their absolute love of the game. You can witness that moment, by clicking here.

IN YOUR MIND, WHAT IS IT ABOUT COLLEGE FOOTBALL THAT MAKES IT SO COMPELLING AND EXCITING?

First of all, there is nothing quite like the excitement and passion of the fan base of college football. It’s really thrilling, whether you are at the game or watching on TV. Also, seeing these student-athletes develop their skills and their talent on the field is truly remarkable to watch. Many of them end up performing at their peak in college, and that translates to some really great football games.
